Short version
Lataaka works on your computer. It reads a web page only when you open Lataaka on that page (or on pages you pick yourself), keeps your settings, Basket and history in your browser, and sends nothing about your browsing to anyone. There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising in the extension.
What Lataaka reads
- The page you open it on. When you click "Scan this page", Lataaka reads the images, icons, videos, audio, fonts and file links of that tab. Nothing is read before you ask.
- Other tabs, embedded frames and linked pages, only after you give the optional "access to all sites" permission and start such a scan yourself. You can remove the permission at any time in the options page or in the browser's extension settings.
- Files you save are downloaded from the sites that host them, with your normal browser connection, the same way the browser itself would load them.

This data never leaves your browser and is removed when you uninstall Lataaka.
What is sent, and only when

Nothing else is sent. Lataaka does not send page addresses, page content, file names, search terms, history or Basket contents anywhere.

Content Lataaka does not save
Lataaka does not save content from YouTube, DRM protected media, live streams or paid streaming services. Respect the rights of the people who made the content you save.
This website
- Contact form. When you send the form on lataaka.com, we receive the topic, your email address, your message, the page you sent it from, its language and how long the form was open (to stop spam). It goes to our form server and is forwarded to the developer. We use it only to answer you.
- Spam protection. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads only when you reach the form and checks that a person is sending it.
- Visitor statistics. The website may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. It is not loaded for visitors from the European Union.
- Google Analytics. The website may also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies (
_ga) to count visits and returning visitors and sends that data to Google. It is not loaded for visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. - Apart from Google Analytics, the website sets no cookies. Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage.
